Aeroflot Opened New Branch in Vladivostok
October 12 2009, Moscow. - The division has been based upon the company’s representative office, aimed to develop long-haul air connection in the strategically important Far East region, and to meet the demand of Vladivostok and the Primorie Territory population.
At the moment, Aeroflot is performing daily A330 flights on Moscow – Vladivostok – Moscow line. The division development plan includes basing A320 family aircrafts for long–haul regional and international flights from Vladivostok. Their operation will employ flying and maintenance staff from the region. A line maintenance station for A320 and A330 has been created. The company is considering the possibility to build up the activities of Aeroflot Group subsidiaries in the Primorsky Kray, which are engaged in air carrier servicing.
As Aeroflot CEO V. The branch has been registered; its appointer CEO is Irina Lapitskaya, who has earlier worked at Aeroflot’s representative office in Vladivostok.
