Class of service upgrade

Passengers flying with Aeroflot PJSC can upgrade to Comfort class for an additional fee. This service can be booked by contacting the Contact Centre and on the website of Aeroflot PJSC no earlier than 72 hours before the departure of the flight, as well as during airport check-in.

Upgrades to Comfort class are possible under the following conditions:

  • the passenger has a paid ticket with a confirmed booking at direct or through fares in Economy class, regardless of the fare family (brand)
  • the ticket is issued for Aeroflot PJSC’s own regular flight (this service is not provided for the SU3000-4999 flights)
  • the aircraft is equipped with a Comfort cabin
  • the service is provided to the passenger subject to availability of seats in the Comfort cabin

The service can not be booked via the Contact Centre or on the website of Aeroflot PJSC* for the following categories of passengers:

  • award ticket holders
  • passengers travelling on a group fare
  • passengers travelling on a Business Pass ticket
  • passengers travelling on a subsidised fare
  • passengers being transported under guard and/or deportees/inadmissible passengers
  • passengers on stretchers
  • unaccompanied children
  • passengers carrying animals in the cabin
  • passengers who have booked an extra seat in the cabin
  • passengers carrying extra baggage in the cabin on a separate seat

 

* Passengers with tickets bought through agents of Aeroflot PJSC may not be able to order the service on the website or in the mobile app. This is for technical reasons, and we are currently working to rectify it. In this case, it is possible to purchase the service when a passenger contacts the Aeroflot PJSC Contact Centre or during check-in at the airport.

The service is not available during check-in at the airport for:

  • passengers travelling on a subsidised fare
  • passengers being transported under guard and/or deportees/inadmissible passengers
  • passengers on stretchers
  • passengers who have booked an extra seat in the cabin
  • passengers carrying extra baggage in the cabin on a separate seat

The service is issued separately for each flight. For transfer flights, you can not upgrade your seats for different sections of your flight at the same time during check-in at the departure airport. For example, for transfers via Sheremetyevo Airport, service class upgrades for the section to Sheremetyevo Airport are made at the airport of departure; for the section from Sheremetyevo Airport, upgrades are made at Sheremetyevo Airport (the service can be booked and paid for in the transit area; if the transfer passenger leaves the transit area of the Sheremetyevo Airport, he/she can contact the flight check-in counter in the departure hall or order an upgrade on the website or via the Contact Centre of Aeroflot PJSC).

The cost of the service depends on the route and the fare (fare family) of the ticket. Detailed information about the cost of the service for a particular flight can be obtained on the website of Aeroflot PJSC when booking the service, as well as via the Contact Centre and at a check-in counter at the airport.

Discounts are not applied. When travelling with an infant under 2 years old without a separate seat, the fee will only be charged for the adult passenger; no fee will be charged for the infant.

The service is provided by issuing an EMD or an MCO, without reticketing.

The free baggage allowance for a passenger using the service is the one specified in the ticket.

Aeroflot Bonus miles are credited in accordance with the fare specified in the ticket.

When checking in, a passenger who has paid for an upgrade will be issued a boarding pass to the Economy class indicated on the ticket. Upgrades are made while boarding an aircraft if there are vacant seats in the Comfort cabin, while the passenger receives a new boarding pass for the Comfort class.

In-flight services are provided in accordance with the Comfort class of service.

Aeroflot PJSC reserves the right to limit the service based on the actual flight load and to amend the terms of service prior to payment without notice.

The cost of the service shall be refunded in full in the following cases:

  • involuntary cancellation of carriage by the passenger in cases specified by Aeroflot's rules and Article 227 of FAR-82;
  • unilateral cancellation of the passenger carriage agreement by the carrier in accordance with Article 230 of FAR-82;
  • voluntary cancellation of carriage by the passenger;
  • cancellation of carriage by the passenger before flight departure;
  • failure by the passenger to show up for the flight or late arrival;
  • voluntary change of carriage conditions by the passenger (such as change of date, route etc.) after the service has been paid for;
  • aircraft replacement, where the service is unavailable on the resulting flight;
  • cancellation of the flight, where the service is unavailable on the rescheduled flight;
  • the passenger is moved to an Economy class seat during the flight for safety reasons;
  • lack of available Comfort class seats at the end of the check-in period.

To refund the payment for the service for the reasons stated above, the passenger can contact the nearest sales office of Aeroflot PJSC, a branch/representative office of Aeroflot PJSC, the Contact Centre of Aeroflot PJSC (if the service has been booked on the website or via the Contact Centre) or the office of an authorised agent (in case the service was booked through this agent).

Refunds for paid but not rendered services can be provided to a passenger within one year from the date of issuing an Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) or a Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO).

 

Please note that due to the infrastructure at some airports, it may not always be possible to deliver on-board meals in time. Please arrive at the airport well in advance to order the service. At Sheremetyevo Airport's check-in counters, orders should be placed at least 1.5 hours before the scheduled departure. The service may be ordered and paid for on Aeroflot PJSC's website or through the Contact Centre no later than 2 hours before departure.
