Aeroflot launched new flights between Moscow and St. Petersburg as a part of its diversification in the St. Petersburg market and adherence to the provisions of the Partnership Agreement signed on June 22 between St. Petersburg’s Administration and Aeroflot.
June 30, 2006: routine flight: SU855/856. Daily departure from Moscow (airport Sheremetyevo-1) at 12.50 p.m., arrival at St. Petersburg (airport Pulkovo) at 02:20 p.m., departure from St. Petersburg at 03:30 p.m., arrival at Moscow at 04:55 p.m. (local time).

June 22, 2006 “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” JSC op. officially opened its new subsidiary in St. Petersburg, founded on the basis of the company’s representative office.
The agreement between St. Petersburg’s administration and Aeroflot provides that Aeroflot will increase assessments to St. Petersburg’s budget, create new jobs, participate in creation of air communication nodal point (hub) concept with the assistance of “Pulkovo airport” FSUE, whereas the city’s government will render assistance to the airline in the prescribed manner.
Aeroflot regards its diversification in St. Petersburg as one of the priority directions of growth.
The main goal of the St. Petersburg subsidiary is to activate the company’s production and commercial activities in the region and to expand the airline network.
The passenger service on the flights between Moscow and St. Petersburg has been improved by means of introduction of new Aeroflot service standard, which has already received the worldwide recognition.
