Aeroflot Is To Suspend Flights To Saint-Petersburg For The Time Of The Group Of Eight Summit

July 14, 2006. Moscow. "Aeroflot" OJSC is to suspend flights to Saint-Petersburg for the period from July 14 till July 17, 2006 when the Group of Eight Summit takes place in the City on the Neva.

The Saint-Petersburg airport Pulkovo will be temporarily closed for the period from 8:00 p.m., July 14, till 8:00 p.m., July 17.

The following Aeroflot flights on the route Moscow - Saint-Petersburg - Moscow will be suspended:

July 14 - SU 857/858;

July 15 - SU 839/840, SU 841/842, SU 855/856, SU 849/850, SU 851/852, SU 857/858;

July 16 - SU 839/840, SU 841/842, SU 855/856, SU 849/850, SU 851/852, SU 857/858;

July 17 - SU 839/840, SU 841/842, SU 855/856, SU 849/850, SU 851/852.

Regular flight SU 857/858 on the route Moscow - Saint-Petersburg - Moscow (departure at 11:20 p.m., Sheremetyevo-1 airport) is expected to operate according to schedule.

All the following flights of the airline company will be run according to schedule (6 flights daily).

Since June 22, 2006 the affiliate of "Aeroflot - Russian Airlines" OJSC was opened in Saint-Petersburg.

The affiliate has been founded on the basis of the company's representative office, operating in the City on the Neva since 1996. For the time of its operation the volume of the services on carriage of passengers, mail and freights rendered by the Aeroflot representative office in Saint-Petersburg has increased in money terms from 22 million RUR to 500 million RUR. For the last ten years the airline has carried approximately 600 passengers and more than 900 tons of freight.
