JSC "Aeroflot - Russian Airlines" and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) have announced successful completion of examining of Aeroflot' organizational structure, information technologies and information systems management processes.
The main task here was to set the IT development strategy of Aeroflot in compliance with the general corporate strategy having made an accent on development of information systems, infrastructure and IT management of the company. This project was carried out to complete the results of previous examination of IT structures of the company performed in 2003. The examination has estimated the effectiveness of main IT management processes in Aeroflot, functional and system requirements; evaluation of results achieved by the company since 2003; examination has resulted in figuring out of recommendations regarding business oriented information systems, IT services and IT related investments which are expected to make positive impact on the future development of the company.
The examination has demonstrated significant progress in establishing of IT infrastructure and IT processes achieved within the last time, successful realization of a range of biggest scale projects. On the other hand, it has determined key priorities and tasks in a field of information technologies and pointed out perspectives for future development.
"Having defined development plan of Aeroflot in a field of information technologies for the next three years, this examination will facilitate enhancing of operational performance of both major and auxiliary business processes in the company", said Mr. Marco Spaziani Testa, Chief of the project from Accenture. "This result became possible due to the cooperative teaming with the specialists from Aeroflot achieved in a course of the project realization".
