Aeroflot Switches To Another Bangkok Airport

From September 28, 2006 “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” OJSC switches all its flights to/from Don Muang Airport to the new Suvarnabhumi Airport located 35 km away from the city center. At that, the flight schedule will remain the same.

Departure from Moscow on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 10:45 p.m.

Departure from Bangkok on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 12.50 p.m.

Suvarnabhumi Airport built in 2006 is aimed for servicing of 45 million passengers annually. The airport has connections with highways and with a monorail. The arrival/departure lounges of domestic and international flights are located in one building.

The new building will accommodate all the airlines performing regular international and domestic flights to/from Bangkok. Switching to a more comfortable airport will allow Aeroflot to increase the passenger service level, the modern check-in system will considerably shorten the time of preflight procedures. The new airport provides for an integrated special SkyTeam zone equipped with independent check-in counters for the alliance passengers. This is where Aeroflot office will be located.
