JSC "Aeroflot-Russian Airlines" becomes a winner of the "Company of the Year" prize in "Transport" nomination.

"Company of the Year" prize is founded by weekly business magazine named "Kompania". Since 1999 the editors of this magazine keep holding annual Prize award ceremonies. Basing on monitoring of the market and market analyses the editors define the list of nominees consisting of the companies which have demonstrated the most outstanding results and success for the year passed, and which play significant and considerable role in development of the national economy.

Contest organizers have highly appreciated the progress achieved by Aeroflot in the expiring year. For the first time in a history of blighty aviation Aeroflot has joined the SkyTeam global aviation alliance, and thus broadened the geography of flights available for the citizens of Russia up to 728 destinations in 149 countries of the world with convenient flight connections and uniform service area. Aeroflot became first Russian company granted with IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate. According the polls conducted by well known British agency SkyTrax Research among 3 500 thousand of corporate travelers, Aeroflot was named at the first place in nomination "On-board service Enhancement" in 2005 among 95 aviation companies of the world. Aeroflot is the only Russian company which in most comprehensive way meets the highest international standards.

Despite the growth of prices for fuel and despite expansion of foreign aviation companies Aeroflot has increased the number and periodicity of its flights, has launched new routes to Hanover, Krasnoyarsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Magadan. For the first time the company has established direct communication with Saudi Arabia.

In terms of service quality Aeroflot ambitiously plans to join the world top five of the leaders already in 2010.
