July 23, 2010, Moscow — OJSC "Aeroflot — Russian Airlines" reopened ticket online payment via web site, and apologizes to every client for the inconveniences.
On July 16, 2010, ASSIST company, which is implementing internet acquiring project for Aeroflot co-operatively with VTB 24, was attacked by hackers. As a result of the attack, clients of Aeroflot airline couldn’t use internet ticket payment. No personal data disclosure and no financial losses have received, Aeroflot web site worked in routine mode.
Aeroflot leadership, though taking into account circumstances of the hacker attack, considers the fact that it took seven days to eliminate the consequences of the attack to be out-of-tolerance. According to this, for the convenience of its clients from July 26, 2010, Aeroflot starts switchover to the new corresponding Alfa-Bank internet payment solution.
AEROFLOT, a leader of Russia’s air fleet, is a member of SkyTeam, the global airline alliance. Aeroflot’s network of routes comprises 856 locations in 169 countries. In 2009, is served 8.755 mln passengers and 11.1 mln used the services offered by the Aeroflot group.
