The official Partner of Expo 2020 Ekaterinburg Bid Organizing Committee, Aeroflot put the official Expo logo on its two aircraft.
Expo 2020 is a world’s fair with the Bureau International des Expositions as the governing body. BIE will vote on the host city in Paris in November 2013.
The World Expo is one of the world’s oldest and largest international events and takes place every five years and lasts for six months. The question of country’s participation in the Expo is decided by the government. Expo 2020 has become a Russian national project alongside with Winter Olympics Games in Sochi and the FIFA World Cup.
Other official candidates for hosting Expo 2020 are Izmir (Turkey), Sao-Paulo (Brazil) and Dubai (UAE).
