Each year, the Freddies are awarded to recognize the most outstanding frequent travel programs, as determined by the traveling public. Ballot-eligible programs include airline, hotel and credit card programs that have created a brand-specific mile- or point-based currency.
Introduced by InsideFlyer magazine publisher Randy Petersen in 1988, the Freddies allow consumers to rank airline and hotel programs from their point of view. The awards are the most prestigious consumer-generated awards in the industry.
