Codeshare flights: Aeroflot and Pobeda

Free checked baggage allowance (per passenger) on Aeroflot flights (including those operated by airlines under the commercial management of Aeroflot PJSC) and on Pobeda Airlines flights

These free checked baggage allowances apply only to fares with the prefix -PM/-XM/-PE/-XE/-PB/-XB on Aeroflot PJSC flights and to fares with the prefix -ALLSU/-ADSU/-MXSU on Pobeda Airlines flights

For security reasons, all passenger baggage, including cabin baggage, must be presented at check-in.

Passenger baggage that the airline accepts for carriage and for which it takes responsibility is marked with a baggage tag and carried in the baggage hold and is called checked baggage.

The free baggage allowance can be additionally extended as follows:

• for Gold and Silver members of the Aeroflot Bonus loyalty programme – one additional baggage piece weighing under 23 kg for Economy class,
• for Platinum members of the Aeroflot Bonus loyalty programme – two additional baggage pieces weighing under 23 kg for Economy class.

Allowance for carry-on baggage in the aircraft cabin on codeshare flights with Pobeda Airlines

Codeshare flights in Economy class

1) One piece of carry-on baggage with dimensions not exceeding 15x36x30 cm (hereinafter referred to as the free carry-on baggage allowance);
2) A rucksack with dimensions not exceeding 12x36x30 cm or a handbag*, or a briefcase* containing items placed inside the rucksack, handbag, or briefcase.

The items listed above may be substituted for one or more pieces of carry-on baggage, which together are placed in the calibrator measuring 36x30x27 cm with a tightly closed lid without applying pressure.

In addition to the aforementioned items, the following articles are permitted in the aircraft cabin without additional charge:

• A laptop computer in a padded case;
• A cane umbrella;
• A bouquet of flowers*;
• Outer clothing worn by the passenger;
• A suit in a folding garment bag;
• Baby food for use during the flight;
• Medicine for medical use, dietary food products in quantities necessary for the duration of the flight;
• Child-carrying devices, including a bassinet, child restraints for children under 2 years of age, and a baby stroller, provided they can be safely stowed in the designated cabin baggage areas;

• Crutches, a folding wheelchair, a walking stick, a white cane, folding walkers (including rollators), removable prosthetic limbs (arms, legs) in packaging, and other assistive devices or rehabilitation/habilitation aids used by the passenger, provided their dimensions allow safe placement in the cabin in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front;

• Items intended for the care of upper and lower prosthetic limbs, in packaging, used to compensate for or eliminate persistent limitations in daily activities by passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility, provided their dimensions allow safe placement in the cabin in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front;
• Duty-free goods purchased at the airport or within the airport security area, packed in a sealed (tamper-evident) plastic bag measuring no more than 24×32×10 cm, and suitable for safe placement in the cabin (in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front);
• A guide dog for a passenger with a disability.

Musical instruments (including a guitar) and sports equipment (such as rackets for lawn tennis/squash, a badminton kit consisting of two simple rackets and three shuttlecocks packed in one case, etc.) exceeding the dimensions specified for carry-on baggage may not be carried as carry-on baggage.

Passengers with disabilities may carry the following as an assistance device or rehabilitation/habilitation means in the cabin (strictly upon the airline’s prior approval):

• portable oxygen concentrator, not containing filled oxygen cylinders, weighing no more than 10 kg, with dimensions not exceeding 36x30x27 cm;
• medical equipment for life support of a passenger on board with dimensions not exceeding 36x30x27 cm;
• a lithium-ion battery of an electric wheelchair carried in the baggage hold, spare rechargeable batteries (2 pcs. maximum, power up to 160 Wh) of a wheelchair or a device (power up to 160 Wh) required for life support of a passenger on board.

The free carry-on baggage allowance is not available for infants under two without a seat provided.

Carry-on baggage corresponding to the specified parameters that cannot be placed in the cabin, may be carried in the baggage hold free of charge to comply with safety requirements.

Hand baggage that does not meet the requirements for safe cabin placement must be carried as checked baggage and is subject to the applicable charges.

Rules for the carriage of non-standard or excess baggage for transfer flights involving Aeroflot flights and Pobeda flights through Moscow (Sheremetyevo airport)/Saint Petersburg/Sochi/Krasnoyarsk.

Heavy baggage (1 piece exceeding 32 kg), weapons, and animals in the baggage hold are not accepted for carriage on Pobeda flights (DP code). Along the entire transfer route from the point of check-in to the destination, restrictions on the carriage of these categories of checked baggage will be in place.

If you travel with oversized baggage, and the weight of one piece does not exceed 32 kg, but the sum of its three dimensions exceeds 203 cm, then you must coordinate your trip with the operating airline for each flight (for flights with the SU code - with Aeroflot, no later than 36 hours prior to the scheduled departure; for flights with the DP code - with Pobeda). The permissible dimensions for oversized baggage on a DP flight are 700*500*1,700 mm. The terms and conditions apply to the entire route of the jointly operated flight.

One kit of skiing/snowboarding equipment can be carried free of charge instead of the piece included in the free baggage allowance. One kit of skiing/snowboarding equipment can include one or two cases with one pair of skis/one snowboard and one pair of ski/snowboard boots and must not exceed 23 kg.

Sports equipment is not allowed to be carried as an additional piece to the free baggage allowance as part of Aeroflot's seasonal campaigns.

Excess baggage

If the number of baggage pieces, weight or the sum of the three dimensions of the baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance, an additional fare for excess checked baggage shall be charged. When traveling by transfer, excess baggage fee is charged for the entire itinerary from the location of baggage check-in to the final destination (or first stopover point). Baggage carried in a passenger seat

Ordering transportation of fragile or valuable baggage in the passenger seat for the trip on the route is not available.

Baggage fares for the transportation of pets

On Pobeda flights, pets (pets/birds, service dogs) are carried only in the aircraft cabin. A container/closed soft pet carrier, the weight of which together with the domesticated pet animal/bird must not exceed 8 kg, is considered to be one piece of baggage.

Dimensions of a soft carry-on bag or hard container on Pobeda flights:

• the dimensions of a soft-sided closed-type carry-on bag in the sum of three dimensions do not exceed 96 cm;
• the dimensions of the hard container in length, width and height do not exceed 46x28x22 cm

Dimensions of a soft carry-on bag or hard container on Aeroflot flights:

• The dimensions of a soft pet carrier to transport your pet in the passenger cabin shall not exceed 126 cm in total;
• The dimensions (length, width and height) of a hard container shall not exceed 44×30×26 cm

In case of transfer carriage of an animal involving flights operated by Aeroflot and Pobeda, the entire route will have the most stringent terms as regards to the dimensions of the carrier or container determined by the airline operating the flight.

If you buy Aeroflot and Pobeda tickets and plan to carry an animal along the entire itinerary, then you need the operating carrier's (SU flights - with Aeroflot six hours before the scheduled flight departure at the latest; DP flights - with Pobeda) prior approval.
