Aeroflot has been awarded an official four-star quality and service ranking from the leading independent authority on airline quality, Skytrax. The rating places Aeroflot alongside global peers such as Air France, Lufthansa, British Airways and Emirates.

Skytrax's rating comes as the result of a rigorous independent audit examining almost the complete list of areas of the airline's product and service offering, both on the ground and in the air.

In 2016 Aeroflot has been named Best Airline in Eastern Europe for fifth time and fourth straight year at Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Aeroflot won the Readers’ Choice nomination and CEO Vitaly Saveliev was named Leader of the Year 2016 at the prestigious Air Transport News Awards. Air Transport News is a leading online news and analytical portal covering the global aviation industry. 

Aeroflot has won the prestigious Randstad Award for «Best Employer in Transport and Logistics» in Russia.

Aeroflot Group took the main prizes at the national aviation award — Wings of Russia 2015. Aeroflot was named «Airline of the Year — Passenger’s Choice» and won the award in another key category — «Airline of the Year — International Passenger Traffic».

Aeroflot has been named in the global top 10 in two categories of Aviation Week’s authoritative annual Top-Performing Airlines ranking. Aeroflot ranked seventh among airlines with more than USD 6 billion of revenue in 2013, and sixth overall among European carriers.

Aeroflot Joins Top 10 Most Attractive Employers. According to the largest Russian HR agency Future Today PJSC Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) has been ranked for the first time among TOP 10 most attractive employers for Russian students.

Aeroflot was the world’s most punctual airline in May 2014, according to statistics compiled by flightstats.com. In May 91.18% of Aeroflot flights arrived on time, putting Russia’s flagship carrier ahead of peers such as Lufthansa, British Airways and Emirates.

Aeroflot has been voted Best Russian Airline for the third year running at the highly influential Condé Nast Traveller Readers Choice awards.

Aeroflot has been named among the world’s leading airlines for passenger WiFi Internet access on long-haul flights. The Russian flag-carrier placed second in the annual State of In-Flight WiFi Survey compiled by popular US flights portal Routehappy comparing WiFi provision among global carriers.

Aeroflot has been voted Best Airline in Eastern Europe and has been ranked among TOP-10 airlines with Best Airline Cuisine by readers of Global Traveler magazine, a leading information source for business and luxury travellers.

Aeroflot has been named Europe’s fourth fastest growing airline by increase in passenger traffic in 1H 2015 by the authoritative publication Airline Business.

Aeroflot has been named as one of the world’s 20 leading airlines by passenger traffic by Air Transport World (ATW).

Aeroflot was recognized as the best airline in Russia according to the world’s largest travel site TripAdvisor. The site announced the winners of its third annual Travelers’ Choice awards for Travel Favorites — highlighting the top brands chosen by Russian travelers via online surveys and voting. Aeroflot was named the Best Airline.

Aeroflot was named «The Best Airline in 2014» in the eleventh time according to the Star Travel.Ru Awards. In 2013 more than 52.5 thousand users voted in 57 different nominations and Aeroflot still holds its leading positions, outgoing 12 nominated airlines.

Aeroflot won a prestigious Condè Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice award and was recognized as the best Russian airline for the second time.

Aeroflot Group Joins European Top 5 and World Top 20 Airlines by Passenger Turnover. Aeroflot Group has been ranked among the leading global airlines in terms of revenue passenger turnover in 2013. The rating was published by the influential international journal Air Transport World.  

Aeroflot was named the winner of «Brand Awards» in the nomination «The Best Company for Business Travelers». Fashion Events Agency held the 6th annual awards ceremony «Brand Awards 2013» where the most outstanding companies of premium segment were distinguished and the best brands in various industry sectors were selected. Aeroflot was represented by Deputy General Director for Strategy and Alliances Giorgio Callegari.


In accordance with the IATA requirements all the airlines — IATA members, have to pass the IOSA auditing. The companies, having passed the tests, are included into the register of the IOSA Operators.

Aeroflot is the first among Russian Air Carriers to have successfully passed the International Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and to be registered as the IOSA Operator.
