5 June 2017, Moscow. – Aeroflot officially states that it has nothing to do with the fake ticket lottery currently being actively advertised on social media.
Social media users are sharing links to websites that purport to offer the opportunity to win free Aeroflot tickets after completing various surveys and sharing a link on their social media accounts. These links that users are asked to share include: airgift.us, aeroflot-ticket.us, airgift-com.us
These sites are all bogus. The latest information about current promotions, special offers, competitions and current news can be found only on the airline’s official website (www.aeroflot.ru) and social media accounts:
Twitter (Russian): https://twitter.com/aeroflot
Facebook (Russian): https://www.facebook.com/aeroflot/
Facebook (English): https://www.facebook.com/aeroflotinternational/
Aeroflot would once more like to stress that participation in fake lotteries and competitions may result in a computer being infected with a virus or malware allowing attackers to access personal data, accounts and contracts. This could be used for hacker attacks, theft of funds, storage of prohibited information and to send spam.
Aeroflot appeals to internet users to be alert to scams, and not to spread obviously false information.
