16 April 2016, Moscow. — Aeroflot would like to inform passengers that flight SU 505 from Tel Aviv to Moscow will depart at 7:00 p.m.
The delay is the result of late arrival of the aircraft at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport, regular night shutdown of the airport from 1:40 AM to 5:00 AM, and then the need to provide required rest for the flight crew after the completion of a shift. The aircraft arrived behind schedule in Tel Aviv due to disruptive behavior of two passengers aboard the Moscow — Tel Aviv flight; the passengers were escorted off the flight and handed over to local law enforcement.
A lack of hotel rooms ahead of the Passover holiday required passengers to wait for the flight in the airport terminal’s business lounge, while hotel rooms were secured for some passengers. All passengers were provided with drinks and three hot meals.
An additional delay of the flight to 7:00 PM was the result of the decision of some passengers to cancel their flight plans; additional time was required to remove all luggage from the flight and re-register passengers for security reasons.
Aeroflot sincerely apologizes to all passengers affected by the delay.
