16 November 2015, Moscow. — Aeroflot has held its first InstaMeet with Manchester United and European Instagrammers at the club’s home ground, Old Trafford. The InstaMeet was the sixth organised by Aeroflot.
The official carrier of the legendary club, Aeroflot gave popular European Instagrammers access to areas of the stadium normally off-limits to outsiders, and the chance to experience the real local atmosphere. The IGers also met club legends including former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Seven Instagrammers from Turkey (@civilking, @audiosoup), Austria (@anasbarros), Germany (@thomas_k, @berlinstagram) and Russia (@katia_mi, @atmolex) were accompanied by two Aeroflot flight attendants during the day of shooting in Manchester. They had the opportunity to visit the heart of the city — Old Trafford, Manchester United’s «Theatre of Dreams» — to learn about the club’s history, have a sightseeing tour of the city and even play football at one of the club’s training grounds — The Cliff, which used to host the first team and was played on by the likes of David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Paul Scholes.
Аleksei Mavlonazorov (@atmolex) said after the event:
«I had the most amazing time meeting Manchester United legends Sir Alex Ferguson, Gary Pallister and Albert Morgan at Old Trafford. I’d like to thank the club’s representatives for their incredible hospitality and also Aeroflot for the chance to visit Manchester and experience the unique footballing atmosphere!»
