The Committee of the International Forum of Accountants and Auditors admitted Aeroflot–Russian Airlines Accounting Department to be “Enterprise of High Accounting Organization-2004”.
The Committee of the International Forum of Accountants and Auditors appreciated much Aeroflot achievements in arranging Accounting Department according to the international standards of financial reporting and the main directions of the state program on reforming the Russian economy.
The action was conducted within the program of public encouragement of financial managers and chief accountants of enterprises in order to determine the best departments of enterprises of different property forms.
At the ceremony of awarding Aeroflot Chief Accountant Angery Trusov noted that so high appreciation of success they achieved is to contribute more to increase accounting significance and professional mastership of the company personnel.
As it was reported earlier, Aeroflot–Russian Airlines Accounting Department was admitted to be the Winner of the Contest “The Best Accounts Department in Russia-2004”, and Andrey Trusov, Aeroflot Chief Accountant, was awarded with the honorary reward “Russian Accounting System Honored Member- 2004”.
Aeroflot–Russian Airlines (RTS: AFLT) is the largest Russian Company. The state owns 51 per cent of its stocks. It was established in 1923. It controls 11 per cent of home and 39 per cent of international market of air carriages of Russia. Net income amounted to 6 330.143 million rubles (219 million USD) in 2004. According to its financial indicators it is in the list of 25 top airline companies of the world (according to ATW). In 2004 Aeroflot transported 6.862 million passengers.
