25.10.2005, Moscow. - Since October 30, 2005 for the purpose of the increase of passangers’ service quality all the flights of the open joint stock company Aeroflot to/from New York are going to be transferred from Terminal-3 to Terminal-1 of JFK airport (named after J.F. Kennedy).
The time of arrival and departure from the new terminal will be more convenient. The arrival in New York will be at 16.00 and the departure at 18.00 (local time).
The airline transfer to a more comfortable terminal will enable to increase the level of service from the point of providing transit carriages and will open extra opportunities of planning the joinings in USA cities. Air France, Aeromexico, AlItalia, Korean Air, Lufthansa and othe airlines arrive in Terminal-1.
The terminal is the most technically modern one, it has the control-dispatching tower equipped by modern radio communications.
The terminal construction was finished in May 1998, the square of territory is 684 000 square pounds, has 11 gates, various choice of duty free shops and restaurants.
