Information for passengers flying to/from Barcelona on 17-19 October

17 October 2019, Moscow. — A general strike planned in the Spanish Region of Catalonia on 18 October is likely to cause limitations to Barcelona's transportation system in the next three days. Big protests are expected along with blocking of roads leading  to El Prat Airport.

We kindly advise passengers to heed this information when planning their trip to the airport and arrive for check in at least 3 hours before departure to allow sufficient time for preflight procedures.

Passengers booked on all flights under SU code (direct and transfer) from/to Barcelona from 17 to 19 October 2019 are eligible to (fee-free):

  • receive a refund or rebook for a flight on the same route within 7 days of the original travel date with a simultaneous change of return to match the same length of stay (plus/minus 3 days). Refunds and rebookings should only be made at the point of sale of ticket.

El Prat Airport authorities guarantee basic service to passengers during the 24-hour strike.
