21 February 2019, Moscow – Aeroflot has been awarded an HR-Brand Award 2018 for Best in Profession, its successful professional skills competition.
Best in Profession is an Aeroflot tradition that has taken on new significance in recent years as a powerful means of motivating staff, as well as recognising and promoting the best employees.
A distinctive feature of the Best in Profession competition is its constant growth and increasing reach among staff. In 2018, more than 1,000 employees from 30 different professions and 30 departments fought it out for victory. 77 winners were identified as demonstrating the best skills. Awards also went to employees in corporate categories including Best Display of Aeroflot’s Values, Best Mentor and Employee Choice Award to mark the company’s 95th anniversary.
Aeroflot took the HR-Brand Award 2018 in the Work Focus category, receiving the highest marks in key areas: "Project significance for the company and society", "Project reach (quantitatively and territorially)", "Achieved results (qualitative and quantitative)", "Inclusiveness (employee participation in the project)" and "Ability to replicate the project (idea can be implemented by other companies)".
The HR-Brand Award is a leading Russian personnel development competition recognising the best HR projects. It is widely recognised by the professional community, which includes leading national and regional employers. The award is given to companies that have implemented the most interesting HR projects aimed at increasing the importance of their professions and employee participation.
The award highlights Aeroflot's position as one of Russia’s most attractive employers, as well as the importance of the Best in Profession competition to enhancing the prestige of the aviation industry, of Aeroflot and of the aviation industry as a whole.
