30 October 2017, Moscow — Aeroflot will offer passengers an additional checked baggage allowance during the Winter season, allowing them to transport for free one set of ski equipment weighing up to 23 kg. The offer is valid from 1 November 2017 to 15 May 2018 inclusive.
A ski kit either constitutes a case with one pair of skis, one pair of ski poles and one pair of ski boots (which can be packed separately), or a case with one snowboard and a pair of snowboarding boots (which can be packed separately).
The extra baggage allowance for ski kit is not taken into account when paying for excess baggage, is not indicated on the ticket and is provided upon check-in, provided the aircraft has the technical capacity.
Free transport for one set of ski kit is provided on scheduled Aeroflot flights and flights offered by subsidiary airlines under Aeroflot’s commercial management. This service is not available on flights operated by third-party airlines (flight numbers SU3000-4999).
Aeroflot attaches great importance to supporting sport and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Earlier this month the company announced that it would be continuing a promotion offering free transport of surfing and diving equipment to and from destinations Malé, Bangkok, Phuket and Ho Chi Minh city.
