Aeroflot wins several Annual Report nominations at the XXII Annual Report Competition, receives top ranking in Extel Survey

18 November 2019, Moscow – PJSC Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) won the Best Investor Relations Team, Small Cap company nomination, according to the results of the annual global Extel investor survey that focused on Russian companies. For the third year in a row, Aeroflot’s annual report has been recognized as The Best Annual Report among companies with market cap between RUB 40–200 billion. Aeroflot’s investor relations website also received an award in the Best Design and Navigation of the Corporate Site category.

The Extel Russia Survey results were presented at the XXII Annual Report Competition awards ceremony organized by Moscow Exchange and RCB Media Group.

The Extel Survey is the leading annual survey of the investment community and is carried out by participants of the financial market. For many years now, the investor relations rating has been one of the main international performance evaluations that assess the interaction between a company and its top managers with the investment community. In 2019, survey participants included more than 180 portfolio managers and analysts from 89 investment banks across the globe. Awards were presented across six categories. 

The Annual Report Awards is one of the landmark events of the year in the field of corporate governance and investor relations. It is aimed at increasing the transparency of public companies as well as facilitating the effective disclosure of information to investors and customers.

This year, 123 companies took part in the competition. They were evaluated by a panel of 16 judges, including experts from large investment funds, professional associations, public organizations and regulatory bodies, as well as leading financial analysts and specialists in corporate governance and communications.

In 2018, the interactive version of Aeroflot’s annual report received the gold medal in the LACP Spotlight Awards organised by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), and also ranked among the world’s top 100 best annual reports.
