JSC "Aeroflot – Russian Airlines" and the leasing company AerCap (Netherlands) have signed an operative leasing contract for delivery of ten new type A330-200 passenger aircraft with a term of up to 10 years. Deliveries are to take place between November 2008 and April 2010.
Type A330 aircraft boast a range of up to 12,500 km and are used for long-haul services by leading international airlines.
The new airliner will be equipped 2 classes: 23 seats in business class and 207 in economy class. The aircraft cabin will be individually designed, featuring, for example, built-in satellite phones and screens for each seat. Business class will be equipped with comfortable reclining seats. The space between seat rows in economy class has been increased to further enhance passenger comfort. The aircraft is driven by Rolls-Royce engines.
The airline plans to use the A330 both on international and national flight services.
