AEROFLOT PUTS INTO OPERATION THE 44TH AIRCRAFT OF A320 FAMILY
December 02, 2008, Moscow. JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines received the 23th A320 aircraft by Airbus. At the moment, Aeroflot’s fleet includes 44 crafts of the family: A319/320/321. The new aircraft is called after N. Miklukho-Maklai, a Russian ethnographer, anthropologist, biologist and traveler.
The aircraft was received within the operational leasing deal made in 2007. The leasing company is Wahaflot Leasing 2 Limited.
In 2008, Aeroflot expects the delivery of another A320 aircraft. All the machines are supplied directly ex-factory. In 2009, 18 more A320 family aircrafts are to be delivered. The cabins are delivered in a double-class layout and are designed for 116 (A319), 140 (A320) and 170 (A321) passengers. Aeroflot operates the A320 family in a network of routs in Europe and inside Russia. Aeroflot is one of the world’s leaders in terms of operational reliability figures and actual hours flown per aircraft.
