Aeroflot has set a new traffic record in July — during this period the airline transported 2.104 million passengers which is 17% more against July 2012.
The airline began to regularly transport over 1 million passengers per month in April 2011 and put forth efforts to reach new breakthrough level.
Aeroflot’s passenger traffic flow undeniably ranks first in Russia and the company relentlessly intensifies its operating activity. In the first six month of 2013 over 9.5 million passengers chose flights operated by Aeroflot which represents 20.2% growth compared with the respective period of 2012.
According to its 2025 Development Strategy Aeroflot Group plans to transport over 70 million passengers per year with more than 30 million passengers served on domestic lines. Another aim is to join top-5 biggest European airlines and top-20 global carriers by passenger traffic and revenue.
Celebrating its 90-th anniversary in 2013, Aeroflot is Russia’s flagship airline and the largest national air company.
