Aeroflot chooses its general contractor for Sheremetyevo-3

Aeroflot-Russian Airlines announces offer evaluation of the candidates for general contractors on Sheremetyevo-3 airport complex construction. The proposal to make an offer is sent for the companies succeeded in Aeroflot preliminary competition Terminal JSC and Bovis Lend Lease – the project managing company.

To provide fair competition between contractors a short-list and a number of contractors to be offered to present their commercial proposals are not to be announced until the competition results are summed up. All the companies included into the short-list are quite experienced and able to carry out the project successfully.

Offers evaluation procedure is based on the best international practices of carrying out competitions, provides transparency, objectiveness and excludes any impact upon the competition results. The efficiency of the procedure was tested more than once in actualizing projects by the managing company Bovis Lend Lease in different countries including participation of such exigent auditorium as the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank. All members of the Offer Committee and working groups involved into the data analysis are to sign Commitment Letters to be obliged to follow the rules strictly.

The companies are to be included into the short-list according to the following:

·      successful experience of carrying out projects of the same scale;

·      successful experience of carrying out projects in airports;

·      correspondence to international quality standards;

·      financial stability and transparency;

·      license for work as a general contractor in RF;

·      meeting the requirements on labor safety and environment protection;

·      qualified personnel.

According to the Competition terms candidates are to present their commercial proposals within the period of eight weeks.
