Five years of Aeroflot flights to Perm

Today five years have passed since the beginning of regular flights of Aeroflot-Russian Airlines Company to Perm. Within the period on the route Moscow-Perm-Moscow about 180 000 passenger and 600 tons of post and freight were carried by SU823/824 flight.

The airline company makes a daily flight to Perm from Sheremetyevo-1 Airport (departure time from Moscow is 01.15, arrival in Perm is at 05.30; departure from Perm is at 06.30, arrival in Moscow is at 06.55, arrival-departure time is local). The flight is made by Tu-134, there are 8 business class seats and 60 economy class seats in the apartment.

Morning flight arrival in Moscow provides changing planes of international and Russian routes of Aeroflot: passengers coming from Perm to Sheremetyevo Airport are in time for flights of European and American directions. At the same time passengers arriving from Europe and America have an opportunity to travel to Perm with minimum loss of time.

There is a system of privilege fares for pensioners and young people and for groups of 10 people on SU823/824 flight as well as on other Aeroflot flights to cities of Russia. Besides, Aeroflot provides corporate customers including Ural-Greit, Uralkaly and others with special terms.

Acquiring tickets Aeroflot passengers have an opportunity to order personal on-board menu according to their tastes and religions (kosher, vegetarian, Moslem, low-calorie, non-fat, diabetic, Eastern, children and other).

According to Aeroflot Commercial Director Yevgeny Bachurin, Perm is among the prior directions in realizing Aeroflot strategic plans on development of the Russian market of air carriages. “Average enplaned traffic of Perm flight is about 90% and positive dynamics of this indicator proves stable demand for Aeroflot services in this region”, - Mr. Bachurin noted.

Aeroflot–Russian Airlines (RTS: AFLT) is the largest Russian Company. The state owns 51 per cent of its stocks. It was established in 1923. It controls 11 per cent of home and 39 per cent of international market of air carriages of Russia. Net income amounted to 6 330.143 million rubles (219 million USD) in 2004. According to its financial indicators it is in the list of 25 top airline companies of the world (according to ATW). In 2004 Aeroflot transported 6.862 million passengers. There are 90 airliners in its fleet. Its headquarter is located in Moscow in Sheremetyevo Airport. It is going to build its own terminal Sheremetyevo–3 by 2007.
