May 25 2010, Moscow. – CEO of JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines Vitaly Savelyev and Deputy CEO of the state-owned Russian Technologies Corporation Igor Zavyalov held a working meeting with the heads of the airlines which are being transferred under Aeroflot’s management: FSUE GTK Rossiya, FSUE Kavminvodyavia, FSUE Orenburg Airlines, JSC Vladivostok Avia, JSC Saratov Airlines, and JSC Sakhalinskye Aviatrassy.
The meeting decided to set up a Management Committee to ensure effective integration of the six airlines into the Aeroflot structure. The Committee will be regular, and will include Aeroflot executives and managers of the transferred companies.
The meeting considered issues concerning the companies’ marketing strategy, air fleet standartization, and some other operational, financial, and production matters.
The Agreement on Cooperative Management of Assets of the Russian Technologies Corporation implies Aeroflot being involved in the management of the six airlines’ operations, production and finance. Furthermore, the agreement formalizes the preemptive right of the Russian Technologies Corporation with regard to aircraft leasing, aircraft parts supplies and aircraft maintenance on market conditions.
The heads of Aeroflot and Russian Technologies have confirmed mutual interest in the successful business development within the Aeroflot Group.
