Aeroflot issued over 1,500 certificares and paid six compensations

January 27, 2011, Moscow. As part of the action to improve the company’s image, beginning 13 January 2011 Aeroflot issued over 1,500 certificates and paid six compensations in accordance with provisions of Russian laws.

As previously reported, the certificates may be used to buy an air ticket at Aeroflot's sales offices and representative offices or to pay for excess baggage no later than 31.12.2011.

The passengers who are eligible for the compensations but prefer not to accept the certificate may apply for a compensation according to the procedure set by Russian law.

Aeroflot was the first Russian carrier to be included in the IOSA operator registry and it continues to confirm the certificate in a regular way. The airline has successfully passed the Safety audit for ground operations (ISAGO). Aeroflot is a holder of the unified certificate of compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.
