Aeroflot has joint the top ten most recognizable and respected brands

December 10, 2010, Moscow. According to the survey carried out by the ROMIR Group of Companies, Aeroflot has joint the top ten brands which are most recognizable and respected by the citizens of the Russian Federation.

The survey was based on the criteria which best describe the companies’ established reputation. The employment index and confidence index make it possible to estimate how many people in Russia know the companies’ brands and trust them. The rating of top ten companies in the service industry was based on the results of the survey.

Apart from the banking and telecommunications sectors, which traditionally ensure massive outreach in the community as their target group, some representatives of other sectors were included into the rating. The transportation sector was represented by Aeroflot which took the 5th place in the rating.

All the ten leading companies in the service industry have more than 70 points according to the consumer confidence index and the degree of customer recognition. These are companies/brands which have been working for a long time at the market and have earned consumer confidence.

Aeroflot is a leading air transport company in Russia as well as a member of SkyTeam, a global airline alliance. The cumulative network of routes comprises 898 destinations in 169 countries of the world. In 2009 Aeroflot transported 8.755 ml people while the Aeroflot Group of Companies transported 11.1 ml.

The leadership of Aeroflot was established based on the SkyTeam Onboard Survey over the period of April – September 2009.

Aeroflot was the first Russian carrier to enter the IOSA registry and has kept up the standard ever since. The airline has been successfully audited in terms of its compliance with the ISAGO safety requirements for ground operations. The company complies with ISO 9001:2000.
