Aeroflot’s performance in september and the 9 months of 2010

October 29, 2010, Moscow. JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines assessed its performance in September and the 9 months of 2010.

In September 2010 the passenger turnover of Aeroflot grew by 34.0% against the respective period of 2009 and reached 3 319 300 000 passengers per km. The number of passengers traveling Aeroflot increased by 28.6% to 1 071 900 passengers. Passenger transportation load on international flights increased by 36.8% (+183 700 passengers) and made up 682 300 passengers. Aeroflot carried 389 600 passengers on domestic flights with a 16.2% increase (+54 400 passengers) compared to the respective period of 2009. Passenger seat occupancy rate in September was 80.7% which was 3.2 percentage points higher than in the previous year. The payload percentage was 65.4% which was 3.0 percentage points higher than the previous year.

Over the 9 months of 2010 the passenger turnover of Aeroflot constituted 26 251 400 000 passengers per km which was 36.6% higher than in the respective period in 2009. The number of passengers traveling Aeroflot increased by 31.3% and made up 8 532 800 passengers. Passenger seat occupancy rate also increased up to 78.0% which was 9.0 percentage points higher than the previous year. The payload was 63.4% which was 8.5 percentage points higher than the previous year.
