27 September 2016, Moscow. – Aeroflot has been named Europe’s best airline at the prestigious Business Traveller Russia & CIS Awards. Russia’s flag carrier also took first place in the Best Business-Class on Mid-Range Flights and Best Airline in Russia and CIS categories, seeing off competition from peers including Air France, KLM, Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines.
“It is the first time that the Business Traveller Awards have taken place in Russia and we are therefore especially glad that Aeroflot took top prizes in three nominations. Being named Europe’s best airline is the result of our consistent focus on service and substantial investment in this area of our business,” said Giorgio Callegari, Aeroflot’s Deputy CEO for Strategy and Alliances.
“Aeroflot not only maintains its leading positions in expert ratings, but now has also received worldwide passenger recognition as Europe’s best airline,” Giorgio Callegari said.
Established by Business Traveller magazine, the leading magazine for frequent flyers, the Business Traveller Awards have been held annually since 1988 and this year were held in Russia for the first time.
