Aeroflot changes legal status to become public joint-stock company

MOSCOW, 3 JULY 2015. — Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) announces that it has changed its official name and legal status in line with recent amendments to Russian legislation.

The Company’s full legal name in English is now Public Joint Stock Company Aeroflot — Russian Airlines. The short form of the name in English is Aeroflot PJSC .

These changes have been made solely to ensure Aeroflot’s continued compliance with Russian legislation, following amendments enacted to the Civil Code in 2014. The Company’s position as Russia’s leading airline and its strategic goals remain unchanged.

Aeroflot’s updated legal status was registered by the Federal Tax Service on 1 July. The Company has amended its corporate regulations accordingly, and the Annual General Meeting of shareholders approved the revised Articles of Association on 22 June.

The new PJSC status refers to companies with publicly traded securities, and carries additional responsibilities in terms of corporate governance and disclosure. As previously, Aeroflot remains committed to meeting the highest global standards and implementing international best practice in these areas.
