Aeroflot Has Become the PBC CSKA Official Carrier

October 8, 2014, Moscow – Aeroflot has become the Official Carrier of the Professional Basketball Club CSKA Moscow. Starting from the first game of the season Aeroflot logo will be seen on the players’ uniform and inside USH CSKA sport complex.

The partnership is signed for the year 2014-2015. As Official Carrier Aeroflot will provide strategic advice to the club on travel arrangements for the team and officials. All flights will be carried from Moscow Sheremetyevo International airport which is situated next to the home arena of the team. At the same time the Club will provide advertising services to Aeroflot and cooperate on promoting the Airline’s brand in Russia and abroad.

Aeroflot and CSKA are connected with long-term cooperation. Aeroflot has a multi-year sponsorship and partnership contract with CSKA Football Club.

“Taking into account the amount of time our team spends in the travels, it is one of the club’s priorities to choose the reliable and comfortable carrier. It is an important step not only economically but for sports activities as well. I think that our brands’ collaboration is natural, because Aeroflot is a leader of air transportation, the owner of modern and secure fleet, company with long history and recognizable name; in its turn, CSKA is dominating the country’s league for years, it is considered to be one of the strongest European teams, it impersonates Russian basketball in the world. Besides, during Alexander Gomelsky presidency CSKA and Aeroflot already had partnership relations, so for me it was important to renew these relations, to move them to the next level. I am sure that our cooperation will be long-term and it will benefit both sides. The players and coaches of the team are looking forward to experience professionalism, comfort and hospitality onboard of Aeroflot planes”, - said Andrey Vatutin, CSKA President.

Aeroflot traditionally supports sport and is the Official Carrier and Partner of the Russian National Football Team and the sponsor of the Russian Volleyball Federation and the Russian National Golf Team.
