Aeroflot got the international prize SKYTRAX World Airline Awards as the Best Airline in Eastern Europe. The ceremony took place at the 50th Le Bourget air show. The prize was established by the British consulting agency Skytrax renowned for its highly professional audit of service quality and has great authority in the global air industry. More than 200 airlines annually take part in World Airline Awards in different categories.
The prize is awarded on the basis of the offered products along the whole production chain and in all class of services. More than 18 million travelers from 160 countries take part in on-line survey to determine the award winners.
Aeroflot, celebrating this year its 90th anniversary, receives second Skytrax Award — the airline was previously awarded in 2011, also during Le Bourget air show.
This is yet another recognition of Aeroflot’s outstanding position as international service company which has made its priority to meet the needs and wishes of the passengers. The level of service of Russia’s biggest carrier is unmatched in East Europe and Aeroflot deservedly ranks among leading European airlines. According to industry studies, Aeroflot’s quality of service in both business and economy segment is the best in Europe.
As well-respected ratings show the company regularly features among European top 5 airlines based on the quality of on-board menu; Aeroflot crew uniform is considered to be the most stylish in Europe. For its 90th anniversary Aeroflot prepared a wider entertainment program on board that includes over 800 content items. New technologies are used to increase the quality of service. This includes installation of Wi-Fi server for more convenient and reliable Internet access on long-haul aircrafts. As the result of these various activities Aeroflot’s index of passenger loyalty (NPS) reached 56% surpassing its most eminent competitors.
