Winners of Aeroflot Open International Innovation Contest Announced

March 4, 2013 MOSCOW

The Jury of Aeroflot Open International Innovation Contest announced the winners.

Teams of professional developers and university students with their concepts of «In-flight Entertainment Platform» from all over the world participated in the contest organized by Aeroflot in partnership with the Federal Business Incubators Network «Open Innovation Inc.».

The semi-final and the Grand Final, which took place at the Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs on March 01-03, 2013 revealed the winners:

The top prize went to the joint team from Minsk (Belarus), Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk (Russia) with their «Aero Store» concept, providing air passengers with enhanced services during their journey.

The team from Naberejnie Chelni (Russia) took the second place, introducing «OnBoard» concept with new on board server vision and mobile applications.

The bronze prize team from Krasnoyarsk (Russia) presented «Aeroflot Bonus Plus» concept with newly designed application for the air carrier’s loyalty program.

The winner team will get 2 business class tickets to any destination in the world and 100.000 rubles.

The second place team will get 2 economy class tickets and 50.000 rubles. The bronze prize team members will receive two Ipad’s.

Now the winners will start working closely together with Aeroflot IT team in order to implement their concepts in practice.
