Aeroflot personnel helps physically challenged passengers in airports, during boarding and upon arrival.

Please consult a doctor before purchasing an air ticket:

  • Whether or not you are physically fit to fly
  • What safety precautions should be taken
  • Whether or not you need an accompanying person

When booking or purchasing an air ticket, please inform us on special services and assistance you need during flight. We do not require the information on your possible limited abilities, however the more information you provide our personnel with during you flight, the better we will be able to help you. Our company’s staff will answer your questions and warn you in important details and procedures.

Please inform us whether you are going to take on board a wheel chair (its size, foldability, requiring battery or not (if yes, battery type), crutches or a guide dog.

Upon request of passengers with locomotive system diseases, the company will provide a wheel chair (free of charge), and special elevator (paid service). Please inform us on the necessity of these services when booking or buying a ticket, but not later than 36 hrs before departure (order of a litter kit - 72 hrs before departure).

Assistance in carriage of mentally challenged passengers is provided only upon presentation of a medical certificate specifying the necessity of accompanying such a person. The carriage shall be agreed upon with the carrier beforehand, and confirmed immediately before departure.

At the airport, passengers of this category shall check in via the airport medical unit, accompanied by the airport/air carrier medical officer/ representative: at a departure airport, from check-in to boarding, and at an arrival airport – from the aircraft to the marshaller at the airport.

Please note that disabled people of categories I and II are served ahead of line at the company’s own agent offices and ticket offices, and during the airport check-in.

Sick passengers must have a medical certificate of medical examination. The carrier may refuse to provide air transport services to this category passenger, if the passenger’s physical condition poses a threat to the flight safety or causes discomfort to other passengers.
