The SkyTeam alliance is an efficient way to maintain or expand the route map by increasing its profitability. SkyTeam members can offer to their customers more flights and destinations and a broader choice of services and privileges.
In globalizing world, the companies’ efficiency directly depends the products offered by carriers for transportation of passengers and freighting of cargoes. To this end, in 2000, Air France, Aeromexico, Delta, and Korean Air united to form the SkyTeam alliance. Today 20 Sky Team Member airlines make it possible for you to travel the world in a better way. Whether making a personal journey or doing global business, international travelers enjoy more flexibility, ease and choices along their journey with Sky Team. We're working together to care more about you.
European, American, and Asian partners jointly operate flights on the basis of «code sharing» agreements. They aim at strengthening their positions on the world market and, in case of economic meltdown, maintaining their presence for the destinations served by the alliance. In an unfavorable situation, the alliance allows the impact of external factors to be mitigated.
SkyTeam’s strength is based on a vast worldwide network of routes supported by the alliance member’s hubs, including Aeroflot’s in Moscow (Sheremetyevo), Air France и KLM’s hub in Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and Schiphol in Amsterdam, Delta’s hub in Atlanta (the world’s largest), Korean Air’s in Seoul (the Incheon airport equipped with state-of-the-art facilities), and Latin America’s largest airport in Mexico City which is Aeromexico’s hub.
