After that, he worked as an engineer in the commercial management of the International Civil Aviation, Aeroflot representative in Frankfurt (Germany). Since 19 December 1988 he worked in the service of internal audit of JSC «Aeroflot», where he started as manager to the chief of service. Since 2009 he has been director of the Department of Internal Audit.

From 2009 till 2011 served as Adviser to General Director of JSC «Aeroflot», Deputy General Director for Operations and Product Quality Management. From February 2012 holds current position.

Since 1986 till December 1989 worked as Sales and Marketing VP, was a member of the BoD and of the Executive Committee in one of the oldest Italian Tour Operators, «Malan Viaggi».
Since 1990 till 2011 worked in «Alitalia» - Italian Air Lines», where he rose from Sales Manager, to Vice President for Sales (Italy, Europe, World), to Vice President Domestic Network, to Vice President for Business Development, Alliances & International Relations and finally to Executive Vice President for Alliances and Strategies, a responsibility encompassing also Fleet Planning and Acquisition and Cargo.
Was elected Chairman of the IATA Industry Affairs Committee in 2007.
Since 2011 has been working for JSC«Aeroflot».

Graduated from Moscow State institute for radiotechnics, electronics and automation in 1996. A.Yu.Kalmykov worked as commercial director of JSC “Business institute” from April 1996; from November 1998 until November 2008 he worked as commercial director, general director, and chairman of the board of directors of “Sunrise tour” company group; from December 2008 until April 2010, he worked as aide to the Minister of transport of the RF. From 2010 till 2011 – Deputy General Director - Commercial Director. From February 2012 holds current position.
He has a working knowledge of English and Turkish.

Born in 1952. He graduated from the Academy of Civil Aviation Order of Lenin on the specialty «Management of Air Transport». Since 1972 he worked in Bykovsky united squadron (the second pilot, captain). In 1976 he moved to the JSC «Aeroflot — Russia’s airlines». Here he worked his way from the second pilot, commander, instructor pilot to the Director of the Department of Safety Management (2009).
